About Carol Marie

Carol Marie is a diverse individual with a passion for art. What began with a passion for drawing as a child, turned into a passion for painting as an adult. In addition to being an artist, Carol is an engineer. She and her husband own an engineering consulting company where the bread and butter business is experimenting (Design of Experiments). Carol enjoys playing her clarinet and is a member of the Star of the North Band. In addition, she is a wife and mother of three boys. About Her Paintings

Carol Marie is known for her fresh, spontaneous paintings. She carries the experimenting that she does in her engineering career to her art. She has experimented in incorporating both watercolor and oil painting techniques. Carol also likes to use a variety of the new acrylic materials to create a variety of textures. I basically enjoy working with a variety of materials and techniques. Carol's paintings often depict a simplified way of looking at things. When working with material properties and not against them, an effortless painting emerges.
